Life Principles


I am listing down some important life principles that are important guidelines for my life as of right now. I will review these life principles again on Saturday, 9th November 2024.

General Principles of Day

  1. The most high-level breakup of my day will be the following:
    • 24 hours =
      • 10 hours of work
      • 6 hours of sleep
      • 3 hours of family time (traveling, sitting, talking, phone calls)
      • 2 hours of eating time
      • 1 hour of workout (weight lifting and running)
      • 1 hour of personal chores
      • 1 hour of waste and leisure
  2. I schedule my 6 hours of sleep strictly between 11 PM to 7 AM anytime between that. That is a 8-hour window and it still leaves me with 2 hours to accommodate other things around it.
  3. I definitely keep my mobile phone away at 11 p.m. I only keep it on if I am on a phone call; otherwise, it is away, and I see it only the next morning at 9 a.m.
  4. This means 11 PM to 9 AM (10 hours) is a no mobile phone window for me.
  5. If I work from home the entire day, I will leave home at 2:30 PM to work from somewhere outside and come home in the evening before 7 PM.
  6. If I have to go out with my father somewhere (to Dwarka) then I will do all the work that I can do on the phone. This will be listed in the section of work I can do on mobile.
  7. I will eat dinner by 8 PM.

Punishments

These are punishments for breaking the rules.

  1. If I don’t wake up by 7 AM then I will be working from home the entire day and cannot step out of the home for leisure.
  2. If I don’t leave my phone by 11 PM, then I will skip the second tea of the morning.

Structure of the day

  1. I wake up at 6 AM every day.
  2. I sleep at max by 1 AM because I need 5 hours of sleep at least.
  3. I then keep shifting this 1 AM to 12 MIDNIGHT so that I can eventually start waking up at 5 AM.
  4. When I wake up at 6 AM, I spend the next 15 minutes stretching and drinking water.
  5. At 6:30 AM, I start doing weight lifting at home till 7:15 AM
  6. From 7:15 AM to 7:30 AM, I cool down and just sit and journal and check my schedule for the day.
  7. Then I sit to work at 7:30 AM.
  8. I have my breakfast at 9 AM.
  9. I freshen up at 9:30 AM.
  10. I sit to work again at 10 AM.
  11. I work till 1:30 PM.
  12. I have lunch at 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
  13. I start working again from 2:00 PM and work till 4:30 PM.
  14. 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM is my leisure time because I am anyway sleepy if at home or if outside then I am driving to jogging.
