Flying back from Turkey

Meta: I had written this piece at Istanbul airport when I was flying back. I had written this in a Google Doc and had not started this blog till then. I decided to post this when I came across this on my drive on Sep 23, 2024.

I am at the Istanbul Airport, in the lounge, sipping a glass of Efes beer and thinking back on this trip. How quickly it came up, got planned, and now it’s over. It is like so many things that happen in our lives, unexpected.

My takeaway from this entire experience is that life is unexpected. Two years earlier, while I was in a very strong and stable relationship and was meeting Parth in Dubai who was hopelessly single at that time, two years later, no one would have assumed that the tables would turn like this.

I am hopelessly single and Parth is committed and engaged.

Also, I have realized I have been living my life thinking too much about past. I am dwelling on it.

Not in the present and not in the hope of the future. I can change that, in one instant. In fact, I have changed that right now.

I will pretend as if I have already lived 100 years and I am on my deathbed and I got a chance to restart my life from 31 and I have all the knowledge that I have to rebuild it whichever way I want to. How will I do it?

My focus areas will be:

  • Health/physique
  • Wealth (earning, investing)
  • Personal grooming (skin, hair, clothes)
  • Travel
